This capstone project focuses on integrating instructional design and learning principles into an instructional unit. I selected the topic of effective communication because it plays a critical role in the success of college freshmen as they transition into a new academic and social environment. The unit was designed to address common challenges students face, such as misunderstandings, lack of clarity, and ineffective group collaboration, by equipping them with foundational communication skills.
