About Me
Personal Statement
Greetings All, my name is Leah Willis, and I am a dedicated professional with over 23 years of honorable service in the U.S Army. My journey in the military has shaped me into a resilient and purpose-driven individual who thrives on helping others succeed.

When it comes to personal and professional growth, I am committed to continuous improvement and life-long learning. I am currently pursing my M.S in Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation (IDD&E), a program which had deepened my passion for designing impactful and learner-centered educational experiences. My time in the military has taught me the importance of structure, adaptability, and mentorship where these values continue to guide me as I will soon collaborate with my future faculty members to create relevant and engaging instructional content.

Upon my graduation, I will serve as an instructor at the Sergeants Major Academy. Syracuse University's IDD&E program has brought a new perspective to my professional journey, as it allowed me to blend my extensive military experience with innovative educational practices to create meaningful and impactful learning experiences.
My long-term professional goal is to transition from the military and become a recognized leader and innovator in the field of instructional design, specializing in integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and adaptive learning systems.
